Tombstone Tuesday

This stone is at the Ohio Solders and Sailors Home Cemetery. The newer stones have dates this one simply reads Charles Quinn U. S. Navy. I come from a long line veterans. I wonder when he lived if he served in wartime or peace time. Veterans grave always get me. In some places they are held in honor. The local boy scouts with tend the grave or even raise money to get a new stone. I feel every stone and person should get such respect. So many have sacrificed everything for so many.

Oheb Shalom Cemetery and Erie County Home Cemetery

First Erie County Home Cemetery....well there just a monument. It is fenced area no trees no flowers no markers. It was in use from 1886 till 1976. I have not found any listings for any one buried there. I made a find a grave posting for it. Oheb Shalom is right next door. It is a small cemetery that seems still active. It is well taken care of.

I am looking for family names. Also going to get any request along the way. I will add pictures as i get them. Joe is going back to overtime next week. He will work on the big blue beast this weekend too. It is his grandpa truck. So he is third generation owner. There are many different ways we connect to our past.
